Online therapy in Oregon for anxiety, grief, and men's mental health
Some people worry that online therapy is a compromise, something less effective than sitting in the same room as your therapist. The research says otherwise. Telehealth consistently produces outcomes on par with in-person therapy, with the added benefit that you can do the work from wherever you are in Oregon. No commute, no waiting room, no rearranging your day. Just a private space and a reliable internet connection. I'm licensed in Oregon (LMFT #T3627) and see clients across Portland, Eugene, Salem, Bend, Medford, and everywhere in between.

The right therapist matters more than the closest one
Finding a therapist who specializes in what you're dealing with is more important than finding one down the street. I work with clients across Oregon because if my approach resonates with you, I don't want distance to be the reason we don't work together. Whether you're in Portland, Eugene, Salem, Bend, Medford, or anywhere in between, online therapy makes it possible to work with someone who is the right fit rather than just the most convenient option. For Oregon adults dealing with anxiety, grief, substance use, or men's mental health, finding someone with specific experience in those areas matters more than proximity.

Online therapy in Oregon for anxiety, grief, addiction and men's mental health
For people dealing with anxiety, being able to do therapy from a familiar, comfortable space often makes it easier to show up honestly. For grief, processing loss from the privacy of your own home can feel safer than sitting in a waiting room. For people questioning whether substances have become a problem, therapy from a private space at home removes a lot of the barriers to even making that first call. For men who are already hesitant about therapy, the lower barrier of a video call rather than an in-person appointment often makes it easier to take that first step.

How online therapy works with me
Sessions are held via SimplePractice, a secure HIPAA compliant video platform. I meet with you alone in my office, never record sessions, and do not use AI note taking tools. On your end, all you need is a private space and a reliable internet connection. I see Oregon clients exclusively via telehealth, there is no in person option, which means I can work with you wherever you are in the state. You must be physically located in Oregon during our sessions, as this is a legal requirement for licensed therapy. Not sure what to expect from a first session or whether your situation is a good fit for telehealth? See the FAQ below.

Why Oregon clients choose to work with me
I've been working with adults navigating anxiety, complicated grief, and relationship struggles since 2018, and I'm licensed in both California (LMFT #131881) and Oregon (LMFT #T3627). I bring the same direct, no therapy-speak approach to every client regardless of where they're located. My style is straightforward and honest, just real work on the things that are actually getting in the way. I work with people who are tired of shutting down, carrying things they've never said out loud, or grieving in ways that don't fit what others expect. If that sounds familiar, I don't want geography to be the reason you don't get the right support.

Who online therapy is right for
I work with adults across Oregon who are dealing with anxiety, grief, or emotional and relationship struggles. This includes people in Portland dealing with work stress and burnout, men across Oregon who have never tried therapy before, people navigating grief after a complicated loss, and anyone whose relationship with substances is starting to feel like a problem. If you're unsure whether telehealth is right for your situation, the best way to find out is a free 15 minute consultation where we can talk through your needs and figure out if we're a good fit.
